Subscription
AVSpot Premium
Hear about new aircraft before they arrive, and see exactly which ones are still out there to spot.

What Premium adds
AVSpot is free to use. AVSpot Premium is an optional subscription that adds two things for spotters who want to go further.
Arrival alerts
Choose up to three home airports. When an aircraft you haven't logged is heading toward one of them, AVSpot sends a notification naming it, with its type and airline when they're known and about how many minutes out it is, so you have time to get to the fence. You decide what counts as new at each airport: a registration, an aircraft type or an airline you haven't logged. Each alert also stays in the app for 30 days, with a Log button that fills in the registration for you.
Alerts arrive as notifications in the AVSpot app on iPhone, iPad and Android. In the web app you can see and change your home airports and look back over recent alerts.
The full list of an airline's aircraft still to spot
Once AVSpot has gathered enough flight data for an airline, its page shows how many of the aircraft seen flying for that airline in recent weeks are already in your Hangar. That count is free. Premium opens the full list of the ones you're missing, grouped by type; tap a registration when you catch it and it's ready to log.
Everything else stays free
Logging by registration or type, spotting sessions, your Hangar, photos, sharing a flight from a tracker, import and export, your stats and the web app all work without a subscription, just as they did before Premium arrived.
Price
| Plan | Price | Free trial |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $2.99 per month | None |
| Annual | $19.99 per year | 7 days, for new subscribers |
Both plans include everything in Premium. Prices are in U.S. dollars; the App Store and Google Play show the price in your local currency, and tax may apply.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. On the annual plan the first charge comes when the 7-day trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing.
How to subscribe
Open AVSpot, go to Profile, then Settings, and tap Upgrade.
- iPhone and iPad: the purchase goes through the App Store and is charged to your Apple Account.
- Android: the purchase goes through Google Play.
- Web: at app.avspot.app, Upgrade opens a secure checkout page. For web purchases Stripe is the seller of record (the merchant of record), through Link, Stripe's checkout service, so the checkout and your receipt carry the name Link. Stripe takes the payment, works out any tax and sends your receipt.
Premium belongs to your AVSpot account, not to one device. Subscribe once and it's active on your phone, your tablet and the web, wherever you sign in with the same account.
Premium is rolling out now with the newest version of AVSpot. If Upgrade isn't in your Settings yet, update the app or check back shortly.
Cancelling
You can cancel whenever you like. Premium stays on until the end of the month or year you've already paid for, and after that the subscription doesn't renew. Your logbook, your Hangar and everything else in AVSpot stay just as they are, and your home airports are saved in case you come back.
The quickest way is inside AVSpot: Profile, then Settings, then Manage Subscription. It opens the page for wherever you subscribed. You can also go there yourself:
- App Store: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then AVSpot (Apple's steps). Apple asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before a trial or billing period ends.
- Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then AVSpot (Google's steps).
- Web: Manage Subscription opens Stripe's customer portal, where you can cancel or change your payment method.
Removing the app or deleting your AVSpot account doesn't cancel a subscription, so cancel it first.
Refunds
- We don't refund or credit a partly used month or year, except to correct a billing error or where the law requires it.
- App Store and Google Play purchases: Apple and Google take the payment, so they handle billing and decide refund requests for purchases made through them. Ask Apple or Google Play directly.
- Web purchases: Stripe is the seller of record, through Link. Stripe may also refund a purchase where consumer law requires it or to settle a payment dispute.
- If a charge looks wrong, email contact@sonoranapps.com and we'll look into it with you.
